The Moorlife Balm is regarded as the “intense treatment” cream of the Moorlife range, and the “ointment” or healing salve in Europe. And while it contains a high percentage of the healing Moor Essence which is the crucial ingredient in all Moorlife products, it is actually the make up of the cream base that determines it’s primary application and use. All creams in the Moorlife range act as a delivery medium for the Moor essence to the skin. The creams are designed to simply suspend the Moor Essence rather than bind together with it, so that when it is applied to the skin, the cream base releases the Moor Essence to penetrate deep into the tissue, while the supporting ingredients work to fulfil their role nearer the surface. To that end, the Balm utilises the highest quality natural ingredients of a healing ointment, to soothe dry or damaged skin, and protect it from contamination and harmful environmental influences. A percentage of the moisturisers are intended to seal and provide a protective film on the skin rather than just penetrate the surface. The organic compounds of the herbs in the Moor penetrate under this protective layer deep into the tissue to assist the body restore itself to it’s optimum health and condition.
This makes the Balm very versatile. It is ideal where intense moisturising and repair is required, such as in dry cracked skin, or where sun or wind damage has occurred. Where tension in muscles or connective tissue is required, or circulation needs to be concentrated. Or to help the body to promote healing, around cuts, bruises and inflammation. It also serves as an effective night cream.
